IKEA Furniture Assembly
Modern sofas arrive in several boxes: frames, backs, arms, legs and connectors. Corner sectionals must be joined so they do not drift apart, and sofa beds need their mechanisms checked. We assemble and connect sofas, sectionals and sofa beds securely.
The most common sectional complaint is sections sliding apart. It almost always means the connectors were not fitted. We fit and test every connector so the sofa behaves as one piece.
Covers can be tricky. Removable covers on sofas such as KIVIK need careful fitting to look tailored rather than baggy. We fit them before cushions go on.
For the rest of the room, see living room furniture assembly. For tables, see table and chair assembly, and for moving a sofa, furniture disassembly and reassembly.

Fold-out and pull-out sofa beds such as FRIHETEN and HOLMSUND. The mechanism is tested several times. Storage compartments are checked.

Small items are easy to build yourself. Wardrobes, beds, bunk beds, sofas and large storage units take longer, need two people and must be anchored to the wall, so a professional saves time and avoids loose joints, misaligned doors and tip-over risks.
A bedside table or chair takes 15 to 30 minutes, a bed or chest of drawers about an hour, and a large PAX wardrobe two to four hours. We confirm the time from your order list before booking.
