We protect the bath, tray and fittings, then remove the old grout to a depth of at least two thirds of the joint with a grout saw or an oscillating tool. Leaving a thin skin of old grout and spreading new grout over it is the shortcut that causes new grout to crack and fall out within months.
The joints are vacuumed and cleaned, mould is treated, and any loose or hollow tiles are reset first. The new grout is packed in with a rubber float, shaped, and cleaned off the tile face. Where tiles meet the bath, tray or worktop, we finish with a flexible silicone joint instead of grout, because those corners move.
Cracked tiles found during the job can be swapped on the same visit. Read how we handle cracked and broken tile replacement in Dubai and loose tile reinstallation. For new tiling rather than repair, see our tile installation in Dubai service.
