Sheets are pressed in with a float to keep the surface flat.

Grout is worked in and cleaned off without dragging out.
The Sheet Joints Give It Away
Poorly set mosaics show a grid where sheets meet. Spacing sheets exactly like the tiles within them makes the surface read as one.
Glass mosaics are see-through, so adhesive is spread smooth in white to avoid visible trowel lines.
