Deck Board Replacement in Dubai

A few bad boards do not mean a new deck. Split, cupped, rotten or loose boards are trip hazards, but they can be replaced individually and matched to the rest. We replace timber and WPC boards and re-fix the deck so it is flat and safe.

Signs

Signs Your Deck Boards Need Replacing

  • Boards bounce or feel soft
  • Raised screw heads
  • Splinters and deep cracks
  • Boards curling at the edges
  • Dark, damp patches
  • Gaps that have closed up
  • Mould or algae in grooves
  • Boards moving when stepped on

Replacing Deck Boards the Right Way

When a board has rotted, the joist underneath often has too. We lift the board, check the joist and treat or repair it before the new board goes down, so the problem does not come back.

New timber boards will be lighter than weathered ones at first. Oiling the whole deck, or letting the new boards weather for a few months, brings them closer in colour.

For deeper frame problems, see structural deck repairs. For railings and stairs, see railing and stair repairs, and for refinishing, deck staining and sealing.

Deck Board Replacement in Dubai: FAQs

How Much Does Deck Board Replacement Cost in Dubai?

Deck board replacement visits start from AED 250. Boards are priced per length, depending on timber or WPC type. Prices vary and can change depending on your exact requirements, the materials and access to the property, so the final price is confirmed after we see photos or visit.

How Do I Fix Loose Deck Boards?

Loose boards are usually caused by nails or screws that have backed out as timber moves in the heat. We remove the old fixings, replace them with stainless deck screws or hidden clips and replace any split boards.

How Do I Repair a Damaged Deck?

Start by finding the cause: rotten boards, loose screws, a failed joist or a sinking support. Damaged boards are replaced, joists sistered or replaced, fixings renewed and the deck then cleaned and sealed.

When Should I Re-Seal or Re-Stain My Deck?

In Dubai, timber decks usually need re-oiling or re-staining every 6 to 12 months because of strong UV. If water no longer beads on the surface or the colour has turned grey, it is time. WPC decks do not need staining, only cleaning.

How Long Does Deck Board Replacement Take in Dubai?

Replacing a few boards takes two to four hours. Larger areas take a day or more.
