Why Epoxy Grout Needs an Experienced Installer
Epoxy grout is unforgiving. It begins to set within minutes, and any residue left on the tile face cures into a hard haze that is very difficult to remove. Our technicians work in small sections and clean as they go, so the tiles stay spotless.
It also costs more than cement grout, both in materials and time. In a dry bedroom floor, that extra cost is rarely worth it. In a shower, a kitchen backsplash or a pool surround, it pays for itself by lasting for many years without staining, sealing or regrouting.
Epoxy works best on sound, well-bedded tiles, so loose tiles are fixed first through loose tile reinstallation. In wet areas we also check the waterproofing, covered under waterproofing repaired areas. For corners and changes of plane, flexible movement joints are used instead of grout.

Epoxy Cleaning Sponges and Emulsifier

Sanitary Silicone
Used at internal corners and tray edges where movement happens. Epoxy is rigid and would crack there. Silicone keeps those joints sealed.
