Timber decks turn grey and rough after a Dubai summer. Staining brings back colour and protects the wood from UV and sprinklers. We clean, brighten, sand and stain or oil decks and wooden patios, so they are ready for the cooler months.
Process
The deck is washed with a deck cleaner to remove grey and algae.
A brightener restores the timber colour and opens the grain.
Rough areas and splinters are sanded once dry.
Two coats of UV deck stain or oil are applied.
Colour Back
Staining brings grey decks back to life.
We clean, brighten, sand and stain with UV protection.
Finishes
Natural
Penetrating oil that nourishes timber with a natural look. Easy to refresh without sanding. Needs recoating more often.
Colour
Adds colour and stronger UV protection. Evens out old and new boards. Lasts longer in full sun.
UV breaks down timber fibres within months. Pigmented stains block more UV than clear oils, so they last longer on sunny decks.
Composite WPC decks do not need staining. They only need washing.
For full refinishing, see deck staining and sealing. For washing, see deck washing, and for repairs, deck repair.

Indoor wood is usually recoated every few years. Outdoor timber in Dubai sun needs re-oiling or restaining every 6 to 12 months, and handrails or floors in busy areas every 12 to 24 months.
Paint covers the wood with an opaque colour and hides the grain. Stain soaks in and changes the colour while keeping the grain visible. Varnish or lacquer is a clear protective coat on top. Many jobs combine a stain with a varnish or oil.
We stock natural, oak, teak, walnut, mahogany, ebony, grey and white-wash tones from trusted brands, and can mix custom shades. We test samples on your timber before staining.
Furniture staining starts from AED 300 per piece, doors from AED 250 and decks from AED 40 per square metre. Larger jobs are quoted after seeing the timber. Prices vary and can change depending on your exact requirements, the materials and access to the property, so the final price is confirmed after we see photos or visit.
