How Flat Is Flat Enough
Most click laminate and SPC vinyl need a floor flat to within about 3 mm over 2 metres. Glue-down vinyl needs even better, because every bump shows through.
Self-levelling compound is walkable in a few hours, but the drying time before flooring depends on depth. Thin pours can be covered the next day.

Most click flooring needs no more than about 3 mm of variation over 2 metres. More than that and boards flex, click joints break and floors sound hollow, so we level first.
Can New Flooring Go Over Concrete or Existing Tiles?
Yes, if the surface is flat, sound and dry. Floating laminate and SPC vinyl go straight over tiles with an underlay. Uneven tiles or concrete are levelled first.
How Long Does Flooring Installation Take?
A typical apartment bedroom is fitted in a day. A full two-bedroom apartment usually takes two to three days, plus drying time if the floor needs levelling first.
How Much Does Flooring Installation Cost in Dubai?
Laminate and SPC vinyl installation starts from AED 25 per square metre for labour, and from about AED 70 per square metre supplied and fitted.
