How We Level a Subfloor

Test Moisture
The screed is tested so trapped moisture does not ruin the new floor.

Old adhesive is ground off and cracks repaired.

The base is primed for bond and to stop air bubbles.

Compound is pumped or poured and spread across the room.
Moisture and Flatness
New screeds in Dubai can hold moisture for weeks. Laying flooring too early traps it, causing mould under vinyl and swelling in laminate. We test before levelling.
Whole-room levelling gives a uniform base, which is better than patching dozens of small dips.

How Flat Does a Floor Need to Be for New Flooring?
Most click flooring needs no more than about 3 mm of variation over 2 metres. More than that and boards flex, click joints break and floors sound hollow, so we level first.
Can New Flooring Go Over Concrete or Existing Tiles?
Yes, if the surface is flat, sound and dry. Floating laminate and SPC vinyl go straight over tiles with an underlay. Uneven tiles or concrete are levelled first.
How Long Does Flooring Installation Take?
A typical apartment bedroom is fitted in a day. A full two-bedroom apartment usually takes two to three days, plus drying time if the floor needs levelling first.
How Much Does Flooring Installation Cost in Dubai?
Laminate and SPC vinyl installation starts from AED 25 per square metre for labour, and from about AED 70 per square metre supplied and fitted. Levelling and skirting are quoted separately when needed. Prices vary and can change depending on your exact requirements, the materials and access to the property, so the final price is confirmed after we see photos or visit.
