Patches must be fully bonded and flat, or the new floor will crack or dip in exactly the same spot. Priming edges and using a proper repair mortar is what makes the difference.
For large areas, levelling the whole room after patching often gives a better result than lots of small repairs.

Cracked Screed
Cracks are opened, cleaned and filled with a bonding repair mortar. Loose sections are cut out and rebuilt. Hollow areas are tested by tapping.
Where Walls Were Removed
Partition removal leaves a strip of rough slab. It is filled level with the surrounding floor. New flooring can then run straight through.
Chipped and Spalled Concrete
Broken edges and surface spalling are cut back and rebuilt. Fast-setting mortar cures quickly. The area is ready for coating or flooring.

How Flat Does a Floor Need to Be for New Flooring?
Most click flooring needs no more than about 3 mm of variation over 2 metres. More than that and boards flex, click joints break and floors sound hollow, so we level first.
Can New Flooring Go Over Concrete or Existing Tiles?
Yes, if the surface is flat, sound and dry. Floating laminate and SPC vinyl go straight over tiles with an underlay. Uneven tiles or concrete are levelled first.
How Much Does Flooring Installation Cost in Dubai?
Laminate and SPC vinyl installation starts from AED 25 per square metre for labour, and from about AED 70 per square metre supplied and fitted. Levelling and skirting are quoted separately when needed. Prices vary and can change depending on your exact requirements, the materials and access to the property, so the final price is confirmed after we see photos or visit.
