Every TV sold in the UAE has a VESA mounting pattern on the back, a square or rectangle of four threaded holes. A 55 inch LED usually uses 200 x 200 or 300 x 300, while 75 inch screens commonly use 400 x 300 or 400 x 400. The bracket has to match that pattern and carry more than the weight of the TV.
Fixed brackets hold the screen close to the wall and suit most lounges. Tilt brackets angle the screen down when it has to go higher, which helps with glare from big Dubai windows. Full-motion, or articulating, arms swing the screen out and swivel it toward a kitchen or dining area, and they put the most strain on the wall.
The anchor matters as much as the bracket. Concrete and block walls take expansion anchors. Gypsum partitions take spring toggles or a stud fixing. Marble and porcelain cladding need a diamond bit and slow drilling to avoid cracking the slab. You can read the full breakdown on our main TV wall mounting in Dubai page.
Owners of very large or curved screens should look at our guide to curved and large-screen installation in Dubai, which covers two-person lifts and reinforced fixings for 85 inch panels and above.
