Most online brackets are fine. The ones that cause trouble are usually rated for a smaller screen than the TV they end up holding.

VESA Pattern
The hole spacing on the back of the TV, such as 200 x 200, 300 x 300 or 400 x 300 in millimetres. The bracket must list your exact pattern, or the arms will not line up with the holes. You can find it in the TV manual or on the manufacturer's website.

Weight Rating
The bracket should be rated for at least one and a half times the weight of your TV. Full-motion arms on a long extension need an even bigger margin, because the leverage on the wall increases as the arm reaches out. Check the weight without the stand.

Screen Size Range
Every bracket states a screen size band, for example 32 to 55 inches. A bracket made for a smaller band should never carry a 75 inch TV, even if the holes happen to fit. The arms and the wall plate are sized for the load.

Wall Plate Width
A wider wall plate spreads the load across more fixings. On gypsum walls, a plate wide enough to reach two metal studs makes a far stronger fixing. Narrow plates are fine on solid concrete and block.

Post-Install Levelling
A small adjustment screw on the bracket lets us correct the level after the TV is hung. Without it, any tiny error in the holes shows across a wide screen. Most quality brackets include this feature.
How We Fix a TV Wall Bracket to Gypsum and Concrete
The bracket is only as strong as the anchors behind it. On concrete and block walls we use expansion anchors sized to the bracket holes. On gypsum walls we look for the metal studs, and where the stud spacing does not line up with the bracket we use hollow wall anchors rated for the load, or fit a backing plate first.
The wall plate is levelled with a laser before the last screw is tightened, then the arms are attached to the TV and the screen is lifted on. We lock the safety screws so the TV cannot be knocked off the plate, and adjust the level once more with the weight on.

Tilt Brackets
Brackets that angle the screen down by 10 to 15 degrees. Ideal above consoles or in bedrooms where the TV sits higher. They reduce glare from large Dubai windows.
Full-Motion Arms
Articulating arms that pull out, swivel and tilt. They suit corners and open-plan rooms but need the strongest wall fixing. We add a backing plate on gypsum walls.
