Rod Dips in the Middle
Usual cause: Too few brackets for the curtain weight, or a rod too thin for its length.
Our fix: We add a centre support bracket and, if needed, swap to a stronger rod or track.

A rod that is 1 cm out across a 3 metre window is visible from across the room, and a bracket in the wrong anchor will not last a Dubai summer. We fix curtains level with a laser and secure with anchors chosen for the surface behind them.

Straight and Secure
Sagging and crooked curtain rods are among the most common small jobs we see in Dubai. Nearly all of them come down to the wrong anchor, too few brackets or brackets set by eye.
We set a laser line, choose anchors for gypsum, concrete or brick and space the brackets for the curtain weight. The rod goes back up straight and stays that way.
Usual cause: Too few brackets for the curtain weight, or a rod too thin for its length.
Our fix: We add a centre support bracket and, if needed, swap to a stronger rod or track.
Usual cause: The brackets were set by eye or measured from a sloping ceiling or window frame.
Our fix: We reset both brackets to a laser line so the rod is truly level.
Usual cause: Plastic plugs in gypsum, or plugs in a crumbling mortar joint on brick.
Our fix: We refix with metal cavity anchors or move the fixing into solid material.
Usual cause: Hammer drilling too close to the edge of a gypsum board or a plaster corner.
Our fix: We repair the plaster and fix slightly away from the edge with the right anchor.
Hollow board on metal studs, common inside Dubai apartments. Plastic plugs crush the board and pull out under load. We use metal spring or cavity anchors, or fix into a stud, and add brackets closer together for heavy fabric.
Metal cavity anchor or stud fixing
The strongest surface for curtains, found in ceiling slabs, lintels and villa walls. It can hide steel rebar and electrical conduits. We scan first, then use masonry plugs set to the full depth.
Masonry plug or expansion anchor
Strong in the body of the brick but weak in the mortar joints. Plugs set in mortar loosen within months. We locate the brick itself and test the first hole before fixing the bracket.
Nylon plug into the brick body
Sheer curtains need a bracket every 100 to 120 cm. Lined curtains need one every 80 cm, and heavy blackout or velvet curtains need one every 60 cm. Any rod longer than 2 metres should have a centre support, whatever the fabric.
We set every bracket to a laser line rather than measuring down from the ceiling, because ceilings and window frames in many Dubai buildings are not perfectly level. The rod then sits straight even if the ceiling above it does not.

Tools and Materials
Projects a perfectly level line across the window. Brackets are set to the line, not to a sloping ceiling. The rod ends up straight even in older buildings.
Spring toggles that grip the back of gypsum board firmly. They hold far more than plastic plugs. They stop brackets pulling out under daily use.
Plugs set to full depth in concrete and solid brick. They are placed in the brick body, never the mortar. That keeps fixings tight for years.
Passing brackets that let rings slide over them in the middle of a rod. They prevent sagging on rods over 2 metres. They are essential with heavy fabric.
Based in Al Barsha since 2014, we work across every Dubai community with trade-specialist technicians and a workmanship guarantee on every job.
We find out why the rod sagged before we refit it, whether that is the anchor, the spacing or the rod itself. Fixing the cause stops it happening again. A quick re-screw is never the whole answer.
Torn gypsum and crumbling plaster around old fixings are repaired before new anchors go in. The wall around the bracket is left neat. Fixings then grip solid material.
Brackets are set to a laser line rather than measured from a sloping ceiling. The rod or track sits perfectly level across the window. Hems then hang evenly from one side to the other.
Dust sheets go down before drilling and every offcut is taken away. Every job carries our workmanship guarantee. If a fixing we made works loose, we come back and correct it.
Re-fixing a sagging or crooked rod starts from AED 100 per window, including new anchors and an extra bracket where needed. If the old holes need plaster repair, that is added to the quote before work starts. Prices vary and can change depending on your exact requirements, the materials and access to the property, so the final price is confirmed after we see photos or visit.
Identifying the wall or ceiling type, scanning for hidden pipes and cables, marking a laser-level line, fixing brackets with the right anchors at the right spacing, hanging the curtains and testing the run.
A two-bedroom apartment usually costs AED 400 to AED 750 in labour for rods or tracks fitted and curtains hung. Re-fixing existing hardware is often cheaper than a new installation. About 20 to 30 minutes per window. Re-fixing a sagging rod takes a similar time, plus a little extra if the old holes need repair.
