Masonry Plugs
Nylon and metal plugs for concrete walls, lintels and ceiling slabs. They grip firmly in solid material. They carry the heaviest curtains safely.

The fixing surface decides how long your curtains stay up. We mount rods and tracks on concrete, block and gypsum walls, on ceiling slabs, false ceilings and pelmet boxes, with anchors chosen for the weight of the fabric they will carry.
Wall Mounting
Best above standard windows
A rod or track fixed 10 to 15 cm above the frame, extending past the glass on each side. It suits windows with wall space above them and decorative rods with finials. Wall mounting is the most common setup in Dubai villas.
Ceiling Mounting
Best for full-height glass
A track fixed to the ceiling so the curtain starts at the top line of the room. It closes the light gap above the curtain and makes ceilings feel higher. It is the standard choice in Dubai Marina and Downtown apartments with floor to ceiling windows.
Fixing Surfaces
Curtains fail at the fixing, not the fabric. A bracket in the wrong anchor will loosen every time the curtain is pulled, until it finally pulls out of the gypsum or plaster.
We identify the surface first, whether concrete, block, gypsum, a ceiling slab or a pelmet box, then choose anchors and bracket spacing to suit the weight of the curtains. The result is a rod or track that stays straight for years.
| Surface | Where You Find It | Fixing | Suits |
|---|---|---|---|
| Concrete Wall or Lintel | Above windows in most villas and older towers | Masonry plugs or expansion anchors | Heavy blackout and velvet curtains |
| Concrete Block Wall | Villa and townhouse walls | Long-leg plugs into the solid web of the block | Heavy curtains with brackets every 60 cm |
| Gypsum Wall | Internal partitions in apartments | Metal cavity anchors or a fixing into the stud | Medium curtains, heavy with extra brackets |
| Concrete Ceiling Slab | Apartments without a false ceiling | Masonry plugs after a conduit scan | Any curtain, including long ripple fold runs |
| Gypsum False Ceiling | Most modern Dubai apartments | Into the metal grid channels or rated cavity anchors | Medium to heavy with close bracket spacing |
| Pelmet Box or Curtain Pocket | Built-in recesses above the glass | Into the timber or metal frame of the pelmet | Tracks of any length, often motorised |
The area above a window often hides surprises. In villas there is usually a concrete lintel, which is strong but full of steel. In apartments, the wall above the window may be gypsum while the window head is concrete, so a single rod can need two different fixings.
False ceilings add another layer. A gypsum board on its own will not carry a loaded track, so we locate the metal grid above it and fix into that, or use rated cavity anchors with brackets closer together. AC ducts and light fittings in the ceiling are mapped before we drill.

Tools and Materials
Nylon and metal plugs for concrete walls, lintels and ceiling slabs. They grip firmly in solid material. They carry the heaviest curtains safely.
Anchors that open behind gypsum board and spread the load. They replace plastic plugs, which crush the board. They are essential for curtains on gypsum walls and ceilings.
Brackets designed for each fixing direction, from the ceiling or the wall face. The right bracket keeps the track in line. Projection brackets clear deep sills and AC units.
A detector that finds conduits, pipes and metal grid above ceilings. It prevents drilling into hidden services. Safe zones are marked before every hole.
Based in Al Barsha since 2014, we work across every Dubai community with trade-specialist technicians and a workmanship guarantee on every job.
We confirm whether the fixing point is concrete, block, gypsum or a pelmet frame before drilling. The anchor is chosen for that surface and the curtain weight. Nothing is guessed.
Ceilings hide conduits, AC ducts and light fittings. We scan and map them before drilling. There are no tripped circuits or damaged ducts.
Brackets are set to a laser line rather than measured from a sloping ceiling. The rod or track sits perfectly level across the window. Hems then hang evenly from one side to the other.
Dust sheets go down before drilling and every offcut is taken away. Every job carries our workmanship guarantee. If a fixing we made works loose, we come back and correct it.
Wall mounting a rod or track you already own starts from AED 100 per window up to 2 metres. Ceiling tracks start from AED 150 for runs up to 3 metres. Long ceiling runs, double tracks and pelmet boxes that need extra framing are priced by length. Prices vary and can change depending on your exact requirements, the materials and access to the property, so the final price is confirmed after we see photos or visit.
Checking the wall or ceiling type, scanning for cables and pipes, marking the height and overhang with you, fitting and levelling the brackets, hanging the curtains and testing the full run. Fixings and clean-up are included.
Most two-bedroom apartments cost between AED 400 and AED 750 in labour for rods or tracks fitted and curtains hung. Ceiling tracks across full glass walls add a little because of the extra fixing points. Prices vary and can change depending on your exact requirements, the materials and access to the property, so the final price is confirmed after we see photos or visit.
About 20 to 30 minutes for a wall rod and 40 to 60 minutes for a ceiling track of 3 to 4 metres. Ceiling work takes longer because each bracket must line up along the full length.
A typical apartment with a mix of wall rods and ceiling tracks is finished in half a day. We tell you the expected time when we confirm the booking.
We mount curtain rods and tracks on every surface found in Dubai homes. Apartments, villas and offices in all communities are covered.
